METHODOLOGY

How the planner treats your entries

Amounts are converted to a monthly equivalent so weekly, fortnightly/biweekly, four-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual items can be compared on one basis. Irregular income or spending is treated as the monthly average you enter.

Irregular bills become reservesAn annual ₹36,000 bill is represented as ₹3,000 per month in the cash-flow model.
Protected categories stay visibleYou can mark categories you do not want Smart Suggestions to use as spending-reduction sources.
Exceptional items stay in historyMark a category or whole month as exceptional so it is not treated as a normal baseline.
Emergency-fund targets are user-selectedThe planner shows coverage against the number of months you choose; it does not impose a universal target.
