LOANS & REPAYMENTS

See what a loan could cost each month.

Estimate a monthly payment or EMI for a fixed-rate reducing-balance loan. See total interest, total repayment, the balance over time and what optional extra payments could change.

UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU BORROW

Understand the payment before you compare the loan.

See how principal, interest and term create a monthly payment or EMI, then use the calculator with your own assumptions.

Amount, rate and term

Enter the amount you plan to borrow, then set the annual interest rate and repayment term.

Advanced assumptions: dates, fees & extra payments
Fees are not APR. Carrowmont shows entered fees separately and does not label a fee-inclusive rate as regulated APR.

HOW IT WORKS

A standard reducing-balance payment is recalculated from principal, rate and term.

For a non-zero monthly rate, the scheduled payment uses the standard amortizing-loan formula. At 0% interest, principal is divided evenly across the term.

Monthly payment / EMIPMT = P × r × (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1)
Reverse loan amountP = PMT × (1 − (1+r)^−n) / r
IMPORTANT CONTEXT

This is a planning model, not a lender quote.

Real lender figures can differ because of daily-interest conventions, payment dates, fees, variable rates, penalties, rounding and product-specific rules.

  • Country changes familiar terminology; currency changes units only and performs no FX conversion.
  • Entered fees remain separate from principal and interest.
  • Extra payments keep the scheduled payment unchanged; V1 does not model recasting.
  • No prepayment penalty is assumed automatically.
  • Reverse mode estimates mathematical principal only—not lender eligibility or approval.
